“…In this second calculation, shown in the lower part of figure 2, we included the one-particle transfer channels, and six more channels corresponding to the transfer of pairs of nucleons (±2n and ±2p) and α-clusters (±α). The form factors for pair transfer have been taken from the macroscopic model of [11], while for the ±α channels we have adopted a cluster form factor as in [12]. The normalization of these macroscopic form factors has been chosen to reproduce the experimental total cross section for the ±2n, ±2p and ±α channels.…”

“…The persistency of α clustering in such nuclei is an interesting theme. Although there are some experiments which have measured the ground band for 52 Ti [24][25][26], it is important to explore the cluster state in the higher excited energy region using the correlation method. To examine the α cluster structure of 52 Ti, we performed the 48 Ca( 7 Li,t) 52 Ti(α) 48 Ca reaction experiment using thin 48 Ca metal targets deposited onto thin carbon foils.…”

“…The α-transfer reaction occurs at beam energies just above the Coulomb barrier (∼ 335 MeV), with one α particle being transferred from a 12 C nucleus to a 96 Ru nucleus, forming 100 Pd. The residual 8 Be nucleus is unstable and decays within 10 −16 s into two α particles [9,14] which are detected by a particle detector located in the forward direction, behind the target (see Fig. 1).…”
