Texture Development in Gypsum During Crystallisation

Abstract: Gypsum was set on polyethylene foil of different origin and on cellophane foil. Experiments were also carried out in an electric field (5-25 kV direct-current). In all cases (especially in the electric field) (010) textures developed on the contact surfaces and were overlapped by a (121) texture.
