Tetracyclic triterpenes from Inonotus Obliquus (Pers.) Pil. (Chaga) growing in Russia

Abstract: The tetracyclic triterpene content of Inonotus obliquus (Chaga) growing in Russia was investigated for the first time. Lanosterol, inotodiol, and ergosterol were isolated from the non-phenolic fraction. In addition, trametenolic acid was isolated from fraction III, which was prepared by extraction from diethylether solution with 5% NaOH.
