Testing Hepa Filters for Use in a High Noise Level Environment.

Abstract: During the pulsed cooling phase of nuclear reactor rocket engine tests, as part of the Rover Program at Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, the possibility of atmospheric release of radioactive particulates exists. To control this potential release, a special air cleaning system employing High Efficiency Particulate Aerosol (HEPA) filters was designed, constructed, and tested.
