Testicular Cancer—Surgical Treatment

Abstract: Testicular Germ Cell Tumor (GCT) is the most common solid tumor in men between the ages of 20–44. Men diagnosed with GCT have excellent survival rates due to advances in the multimodal treatment paradigm of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery. When considering the adequate treatment, several variables should be investigated and known to select the proper procedure. Therefore, when considering Testicular Intra-Epithelial Neoplasia, organ-sparring treatment, such as radiotherapy or organ-sparring surger… Show more

“…Testis kanserinin primer tedavisi inguinal kesi ile yapılan ve testis ile beraber spermatik kordun internal inguinal ring düzeyine dek tümüyle çıkarılmasından oluşan radikal orşiektomi operasyonudur. 3 Hastanın hayatını tehdit eden dissemine hastalık durumunda klinik durum testis kanserini güçlü bir şekilde işaret ediyorsa orşiektomi ertelenip bir an önce kemoterapi başlanabilir. [4][5] Testis kanserinin yüksek kemo-sensitivitesi nedeniyle tedavide kemoterapi (özellikle sisplatin bazlı olanlar) mükemmel başarı oranlarına sahiptir.…”

“…A plan for treating testicular cancer would be the categorization of retroperitoneal lymph nodes. This would increase the rate of survival of the patient and then treat infertility (Vaz et al 2019). The procedure involves the removal of sympathetic chains surgically, that directly leads to seminal emission rectification of normal ejaculation (Butcher and Brannigan 2016).…”
