Test‐Retest Reliability of the ABILOCO Questionnaire in Individuals with Stroke

Abstract: Background The ABILOCO is a self‐reported questionnaire, specific for individuals with stroke, for the assessment of ability of locomotion. The ABILOCO has been investigated using the Rasch model and has shown satisfactory measurement properties. However, its test‐retest reliability has not been investigated. Objective To investigate the test‐retest reliability, that is, agreement, systematic and random variability of the ABILOCO Questionnaire in individuals with chronic stroke. Design A test‐retest reliabilit… Show more

“…Participants were asked to estimate their ability to perform the locomotion activities, which were rated as 0 = Impossible or 1 = Possible. The activities, which were not attempted after stroke, were inserted as missing responses 20 . The responses were submitted on‐line to Rasch analysis.…”

“…Perceived locomotion ability was measured using the ABILOCO-Brazil [22,23], and reported as logits, the unit of measure of Rash analysis. ABILOCO is a stroke-specific questionnaire, which contains 13 items related to locomotion activities [22].…”

“…The minimal sample size was 35 and was calculated using two repeated measures with a confidence interval (CI) of 0.2. We evaluated the test–retest reliability with 50 older adults, which was greater than the above minimal sample size ( 37 ).…”
