Abstract:Nonlinear response history analysis using an integration scheme and an iterative nonlinear solution method is a versatile tool for analyzing structural systems subjected to earthquakes. Nevertheless, the resulting responses are inexact and the analyses are generally complicated and computationally expensive. In a recent study, a slight change is applied to the continuation/end of the nonlinear solutions' iterations and the probable stop of the analysis. As a result, the simplicity and efficiency of the analysi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
