Test coverage for collaborative workflow application based on Petri Net

Abstract: Lots of collaborative works are developed by workflow at present. The modeling of workflow is mainly by Petri Net. This paper studies the test coverage of collaborative workflow system to improve the system quality. By analyzing many Petri-Net models, the paper puts forward generic advance Petri Net model. And other workflow Petri Net models can be compatible with the generic Petri Net. Then test coverage strategy is considered and test case is designed according to the strategy. This method not only can meet … Show more

“…Authors have modified an existing debugging tool to measure the coverage rate of various protocol-based criteria related expressed using Petri nets. Several coverage criteria have been formalized for high-level Petri nets [51,30]. The work of [14] uses the cause-effect network's concept for the generation of test inputs, while [15] uses the execution potential of the model by the simulation to measure the coverage rate of the generated test inputs.…”

“…Lui et al define in [23] coverage metrics based on Petri nets in the context of workflow applications. Comparable to this work the authors combine predefined subnets, but their scope is limited on the workflow aspects.…”
