Terrestrial ion circulation in space

Abstract: Abstract. Observations of the terrestrial ion transport and budget in the magnetosphere are reviewed, with stress on low energy ions in the high-altitude polar region and inner magnetosphere, for which Cluster significantly improved the knowledge.
