Abstract: SUMMARYOsteoporosis is a skeletal disorder characterised by compromised bone strength predisposing a person to an increased risk of fracture. Osteoporosis develops through an imbalance between bone resorption by osteoclasts and bone formation by osteoblasts resulting in increased bone loss.
