Tensions between textbook pedagogy and the literacy practices of the disciplinary community: A study of writing in first year economics

Abstract: is Coordinator of the Language Development Group in the Centre for Higher Education Development at the University of Cape Town. She has experience designing and teaching access level academic literacy courses and postgraduate language education courses as well as in staff and curriculum development.
