Tensile shear strength and cross tensile strength in welding using an ultrasonic complex vibration source

Abstract: The authors have proposed a method of ultrasonic welding using planar vibration composed of longitudinal and torsional vibrations, and obtained higher tensile shear strength in a shorter time than by ultrasonic welding using conventional linear vibration.
