Abstract:A urbanização é um preditor da riqueza de espécies, logo, a vegetação nessas áreas pode ser mais homogênea, pela presença de plantas generalistas e com dispersão eficiente, havendo co-ocorrência das mesmas espécies. Por outro lado, áreas urbanas poderiam ser mais heterogêneas, dada a natureza de micro-habitats disponíveis para a ocupação da vegetação pioneira diversa.
