Show more

“…Thus, in the study area, rainfall variation permits us to distinguish 3 periods. This is confirmed by the results of Gnanglè et al (2011) who came to the conclusion that the evolution of rainfall in the whole sudano guineean area does not follow a linear trend from 1960 to 2008. The existence of a risk of extreme rainfall is well illustrated by the results of the frequency analysis on rainfall.…”

“…It seems so memorable and visible to the producers compared with other climatic parameters such as Potential Evapotranspiration (PET), insolation, relative humidity, etc. Our indicators, compared with those obtained by Gnanglè et al (2011), Agossou et al (2012, Bambara et al (2013) and Loko et al (2013), revealed the new indicators like high rate of dried cashew flowers during the growing seasons and the constant declines in yields of cashew. The fact that increasing rates of dried flowers of cashew tree observed annually and yield declines are cited as indicators of climate change is not surprising.…”

“…Climate in the region is subhumid dry with a unimodal rainfall regime and a dry season lasting five months (November to March). Annual rainfall varies from 900 mm to 1200 mm with a peak in August (267.5 mm) (Gnanglè et al, 2011). Temperature ranges from 21°C (December-January) to 40°C (February-April) with an average of 32°C.…”
