Temporal stability and responsiveness of a conditioned pain modulation test

Abstract: Objectives Conditioned pain modulation is a commonly used quantitative sensory test, measuring endogenous pain control. The temporal stability of the test is questioned, and there is a lack of agreement on the effect of different pain conditions on the conditioned pain modulation response.
