Temporal interaction of hybrid signals in various phases of Eu3+: BiPO4 through photon–phonon dressing

Abstract: Laser interaction with doped crystals exhibiting photon-photon and photon-phonon coupling has been focused on recently. In pretext, here we report the spectral and temporal profile interaction of two lasers excitation through various phases of Eu3+: BiPO4 crystals. We reveal that spectral-temporal profile interaction of hybrid signals (coexisting fluorescence and spontaneous four-wave mixing) are dressed by nested and cascade processes of two-photons (two-phonon). Such interaction comes from thermal phonon con… Show more

“…It is worth mentioning that the number of phonons in each sample was different, depending on each phase's concentration. Pure HP had more phonons and pure LTMP had less phonon, 23 hence by using various combinations and concentrations of HP and LTMP, we could control the sample phonon dressing. Two dye lasers (narrow scan with a 0.04 cm −1 line shape) pumped by an injection-locked single-mode Nd:YAG laser (Continuum Powerlite DLS 9010, 10 Hz repetition rate, 5ns pulse width) were used to generate the two pumping fields E 1 ( ω 1 , Δ 1 ) and E 2 ( ω 2 , Δ 2 ) with the frequency detuning Δ i = Ω mn − ω i .…”

“…Recently, the photon–phonon dressing coupling in Eu 3+ ions doped BiPO 4 has been studied [ 8 , 9 ], as Eu 3+ /Pr 3+ ions are very sensitive to the site symmetry and its surrounding crystal field of the host material compared to other crystal ions [ 10 , 11 , 12 ]. Therefore, it can be achievable to obtain such a potential application in BiPO 4 crystal.…”
