Abstract: Community compositions of ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi are known to show spatial distance decay of similarity, which arises from both deterministic niche-based processes and stochastic spatial-based processes (e.g. dispersal limitation). “…The decomposition experiment covered a 36-month period from April 2008 to April 2011. Nine study plots (5 · 5 m) were established within a forest stand measuring 50 · 15 m. The stand included 25 tree species, and C. sieboldii accounted for 55% of the total basal area of trees with diameter of breast height more than 5 cm (Matsuoka et al 2016). Litterbags were placed on the forest floor within the study plots in April 2008, with 6-10 bags per plot and per tree species.…”
