Temporal and Spatial Variations in Provincial CO2 Emissions in China from 2005 to 2015 and Assessment of a Reduction Plan

Abstract: This study calculated the provincial carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in China, analyzed the temporal and spatial variations in emissions, and determined the emission intensity from 2005 to 2015. The total emissions control was forecasted in 2015, and the reduction pressure of the 30 provinces in China was assessed based on historical emissions and the 12th five-year (2011-2015) reduction plan. Results indicate that CO2 emissions eventually increased and gradually decreased from east to west, whereas the emissio… Show more

“…Then, during the twelfth plan from 2011 to 2015, energy conservation, emission reduction and industrial upgrading explain the global decrease in C emissions. The trend of C emissions during the eleventh and twelfth plans in Zhejiang Province coincides well with previous studies (Deng et al 2015;Song et al 2015). The emission rates in various cities are discussed below.…”

“…The ion conductivity and mechanical properties are two critical factors which are correlated and constrained mutually in constructing solid polymer electrolytes. [ 47–49 ] Solid polymer electrolytes have a limited ability to promote the ion‐pair dissociation of metal salts and ion transport, resulting a quite low ionic conductivity and ionic transference numbers. In order to increase ionic conductivity, forming solid polymer has a poor mechanical performance owing to reducing the polymer crystallinity and adding inorganic fillers.…”
