Abstract:Mechanical properties of amorphous poly(butylene terephthalate)/poly(carbonate) (PBT/PC) blends were studied at various temperatures. Two distinct regions associated with the mechanical response at various temperatures were identified. Also the temperature-related microstructural evolution of amorphous PBT/PC blends was explored at 30 C and 50 C by synchrotron radiation WAXS. The mesophase of PBT could be obtained from the melt by rapid quenching. The presence of PC suppresses the mesophase formation during ra… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
