Technology Selection For Construction Project, With The Use Of Fuzzy Preference Relation

Abstract: Article deals with the problem of technology selection for construction project. Three criteria were proposed: cost, time and technological complexity. To solve the problem, fuzzy preference relations were used. Authors present an algorithm supporting multi-criteria decision-making process. The algorithm creates fuzzy preference relations on the basis of the fuzzy comparison: "xi is better than xj". Then, with the use of criteria weights it creates general fuzzy preference relation, finds all non-dominated (ad… Show more

“…The results of the scheduling with SPT method are shown in table 2. Due to the inability to determine the free time slack in this type of network model [1] it was decided to assign probability distributions to activities performed by the working brigade C. In figures [1][2][3][4] presented are triangular distributions that have been assigned to operations. Probability of holding the directive deadline amounted to 33%.…”

“…Suppose that we need to execute 5 consecutive actions on 12 workspaces. These are not processes of one type neither are they homogeneous [2]. To solve the task we would use a complete check.…”

“…3) generates serious difficulties and limitations in construction work and influences their duration. In the case of a construction project carried out in a dense built environment, the preparatory and design phases are particularly crucial, including: a comprehensive identification of soil and water conditions both underneath the designed structure, as well as in its zone of influence on surrounding buildings, determining the functional and spatial solutions of the underground section, a selection of the support and construction method of the underground part of the designed building and the monitoring of the condition of adjacent structures [8,18]. Problems associated with deep excavation Performing work associated with deep excavation is often problematic, especially in the case of large cities.…”
