Technology of soil stabilization with cement-sand grouting mortar with optimal aggregate grading

Abstract: Abstract. This article studies technological, physical and technical properties and corrosion resistance of cement-sand slurry. Comparative data of the strength of test samples made on mortars of equal mobility with a composition of 1:1 (C: S) using river sand with fineness moduli (Mf): 1.50; 1.35; 1.25, showed the best results in the latter case. The use of the "Mylonaft M1" plasticizer in the solution in an amount of 0.5 % of the mass of the cementing with sand with Mf = 1.25 allowed to keep the mobility of … Show more

“…According to the scanning electron microscope test analysis, the polycarboxylate ether-based polymer particles did not have a crystalline shape and were amorphous. pc or cc = 13 (w∕c) 14 (t) 15 (d 10 ) 16 (P) 17 5 sand particles; therefore, the compressive strength of the cement-grouted sands will be increased (Fig. 5b).…”

“…The effect of sand particle size distribution on cement mortar flow behavior and bonding strength was studied [16]. The coarser sand filler mortar required 24-29% less water than the fine sand filler mortar to attain the correct consistency [17,18]. In recent years, the development and study of self-compacted cement grout modified with polymeric admixtures have accelerated, intending to produce high-performance cement grout.…”

“…Interest is attracted by slag, ash and sand cements, the raw materials for which are the existing waste of the fuel and metallurgical complex and natural sand (Sergeev, 1984;Krivenko and Pushkareva, 2012;Marčiulatis et al, 2015;Mackevicius et al, 2017). The results of researches show that injection compositions based on such cements have a lower cost (Zhilkina et al, 2018).…”

“…Soil consolidation consists in artificial transformation of soil properties under conditions of their natural occurrence by different chemical methods [15][16][17][18][19]. This allows increasing the strength and reducing the deformability of soils by providing adhesion among soil particles.…”
