Solar power is mainly harnessed from photovoltaic (PV) panels which are arranged in multiple arrays in a solar farm or solar system. Though, power generation from PV solar system is characterised by uncertain efficiency, many countries with high insolation prefer solar as an alternative way of generating clean energy. However, the efficiency of energy generated from PV panels is affected by the accumulation of dust and debris, even on one panel in an array. This condition leads to the need for regular cleaning of the surface of PV panels. Current labour-based cleaning methods for photovoltaic arrays are costly in time, water and energy usage as well as lacking in automation capabilities. To overcome this problem, a fully automatic solar panel cleaning system with/without water is proposed. Hence, in this project, the design of a machine for automated cleaning of the surface of PV panel is presented. In addition, it is equipped with two rough sponge and a water pump system that can be used to clean dust or debris found on PV panel surfaces. The efficiency of the PV panels before and after the cleaning process is also observed. The result shows that the developed solar panel cleaning robot is able to clean the panel effectively and increase back the output current as well as the maximum power of the panel by 50%, after the dust on the PV panel is cleaned.

This paper presents a novel approach for the optimization of process parameters on solar seed sprayer with multiple responses based on comparing DEA Rank based Method with Assignment weightage Method. These two methods have a series of steps from of proposed approach which are capable of decreasing uncertainty caused by engineering judgment in the Taguchi method. Experiments are conducted by varying the solar parameters related to solar radiation and solar panel area. In this study, process parameters namely solar radiation, solar panel areas are optimized with the considerations of multi responses such as voltage and current. Two factors and three levels were taken to conduct the experiments with the range 300-600 mW/cm2 for solar radiation and with solar panel area from 6.45 cm2 to 9.67 cm2. The two methods show a good convergence with the experimental data and the optimum process parameters combinations where maximum voltage and maximum current are obtained.Keywords: Solar Energy; Seed Sprayer, DEA rank based method, Multi Response Optimization.

Plant protection equipment is essential in the agricultural field for increasing crop productivity and minimizing the losses caused. Specialized machinery for mechanically applying chemicals is crucial for maximizing crop yields in farming. Farmers use a wide range of pesticides to counteract the effects of insects, diseases, and fungi on their crops. The backpack sprayers do the spraying with staffing, which requires more human effort, covers a small area, is time-consuming, and has a low storage capacity. The market introduced many products to address these limitations, but they cannot work simultaneously. Solar, electrical, and chemical energy is now being used to spray pesticides, but these methods are expensive and require a trained operator. To address the issues above, a product designed with adaptable spraying equipment is proposed to benefit medium-and small-scale farmers. This study aims to look at the problem of manual backpack sprayers and reduce backpack and foot spraying, eliminate human efforts, and decrease labor costs by advancing the spraying method and a constant flow of droplets. Finally, we have investigated the effects of urging gardeners and farmers to spray their plants with liquids such as pesticides, herbicides, and water. The proposed design can help gardeners in terms of comfort during spraying, reducing energy used to pump tanks, and effectively utilizing spraying time.
