The teaching and learning of English as a second language have always been emphasized by the Ministry of Education (MOE). In the Malaysia Education Blueprint (2013–2025), among the many goals is to produce learners who can comprehend the language for various purposes, including for information and enjoyment. Over the years, the teaching and learning of English have changed from conventional chalk-and-talk methods to modern methods that involve various platforms such as Quizizz, which is free and easy to use. This systematic literature review focuses on teachers’ perception on the use of Quizizz in the teaching and learning of English. Using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) review methodology, a total of 45 articles related to the use of Quizizz in the English language classroom were identified from the ERIC and Google Scholar databases. Based on the articles from the year 2017 to 2021, the results show that the mixed-method research design was most used to gather teachers’ perspectives on the use of Quizizz in the teaching and learning of English. Overall, the results of this study show that Quizizz is accepted positively among teachers due to its effectiveness, feasibility, ease of use, and motivating nature for learners. As a suggestion for future research, more focus can be put on investigating the effectiveness of Quizizz from the perspective of parents and issues related to the implementation of gamified learning, such as Internet connection and device availability.

Various technology applications have been used in the teaching and learning process as a medium in the Covid-19 pandemic era to make the learning process easier. This study aims to determine the results of the evaluation of digital platforms for online learning systems that have been used during the covid-19 pandemic. Digital platforms a multimedia technology that facilitates online learning activities easily, especially during the current pandemic through the internet network. The research method used a qualitative descriptive cross-sectional. The subjects of the study were postgraduate students in Institute Injil Indonesia that were 90 students. The sample is taken using a simple random sample. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students had a high level of satisfaction with Zoom as a digital platform in video conferencing and other digital platform applications that were considered satisfying, namely YouTube and Whatsapp. However, educators and some lecturers also like to use email for task collection activities during online learning activities during the covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study have implications for the development of digital applications for the management of online learning activities in the provision of paid video conferencing facilities for Institut Injil Indonesia.

Although intelligence beliefs have been applied to explain the influence of cognition, behavior, and creativity, the research on creativity is still limited. Therefore, in order to effectively expand the understanding of the influence of intelligence beliefs on the creative performance of learners’ graphics, the implicit theories of intelligence were exploited as the basis of this study. Three hypothetical pathways were proposed to be explored, and a research model was validated. First- and second-year students from a technical high school in New Taipei City were invited to participate. There were 273 valid data (88.9% of complete data). Reliability and validity analyses were performed, as well as overall model fit analysis and research model validation, and descriptive statistical analysis of the learners’ performance in applying the operational virtual reality (VR). The results of this study showed that: (1) Incremental beliefs of aesthetic intelligence had a positive effect on spatial performance; (2) entity belief of spatial intelligence (EBSI) had a negative effect on spatial performance; and (3) spatial performance had a positive effect on graphical design performance. From the results, it is clear that design teachers can assess students’ implicit beliefs in the early stages of teaching to actively promote better spatial performance when students show high levels of entity beliefs.
