Introduction: Pregnancy is a physiological process, but if not managed properly it could become pathological. Telehealth is the use of information and telecommunications technology to support prenatal care. This study aimed to determine the factors related to maternal readiness at Telehealth Prenatal care in rural areas of Indonesia. Methods: This research method was a crossectional study. The respondents were 65 pregnant women in rural areas in Indonesia. Sampling was done with quota sampling. The variables of this study were the Readiness Factor and Readiness for Prenatal Telehealth. The data were analyzed using univariate data using frequency distribution and bivariate using the Chi-Square test.

The growth of the senior population and the rise in chronic illnesses such as non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are placing significant strain on modern healthcare systems. The demand for resources from hospital beds to doctors and nurses is high in Upper-Middle-Income countries like Malaysia. The use of IoT technologies can give aged people at home uninterrupted access to healthcare resources and better control over their health. This study aims to analyze the key antecedents of the actual behavior of IoT technologies among aged NCD patients in Malaysia under a framework covering the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model, technology acceptance model, and theory of planned behavior. This cross-sectional study used a purposive sampling technique and data were analyzed using SmartPLS. The outcome is expected to help the government and healthcare policymakers develop awareness among the senior community on the use of IoT-based smart wearables for routine self-monitoring of NCDs.

The importance of reminder messages lies in improving self-care among heart disease patients. At the Heart and Vascular Center, many patients, both those under ongoing care and those recently treated, do not consistently engage in self-care activities. Reminder messages can encourage adherence to medication regimens. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of WhatsApp reminder messages on the self-care of elderly patients at the Heart and Vascular Center. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a two-group pre- and post-test control design. Using a probability sampling technique with simple random sampling, the study required 16 new patients in each group. The instrument used was the Self-Care Heart Failure Index (SCHFI) questionnaire, consisting of 22 questions. Data analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney test. The results indicated that WhatsApp reminder messages are effective in enhancing patient self-care at the Heart and Vascular Center at Premier Hospital Surabaya (p-value<0.001). The Mann-Whitney test results post-intervention showed a p-value of 0.013, confirming the effectiveness of WhatsApp reminder messages in improving self-care among patients. This study demonstrated a significant positive influence of WhatsApp reminder messages on the self-care of elderly patients at the Heart and Vascular Center. These messages are an effective tool for improving patient self-care practices at Premier Hospital Surabaya.
