Abstract: Abstract. Maize is one of the top agricultural commodities that has great share in the Agricultural Government Development Plan of Nepal. Despite being a major crop, productivity of maize is quite lower than global average. “…The probit model was based on the cumulative normal probability distribution. The binary dependent variable, y< takes on the values of zero and one (Aldrich and Nelson, 1984;Adhikari et al, 2019). It was assumed that the i th farmers obtain maximum utility, it has farmers participation in cooperative over non-participation.…”

“…The intensity of increased maize varieties chosen on plots managed by men, women and households which make their own decisions [2]. The adoption of technology and the benefit cost ratio of improved seed were significantly higher among the improved seed users compared to the local seed users, but the level of technology adoption was not satisfactory for improved seed [3]. The plant protection measure had a significant negative effect on wheat production.…”

“…Though, farmers' motivation plays a key role in order to fulfill the production gap. Further, the existing literature describes the gender, age, family size, income, land size (Adhikari et al, 2019;Piya & Joshi, 2021), access to extension, and credit (Lamichhane et al, 2018), experience, farm size (Chete, 2021), training, education (Hagos et al, 2018) and type of family (Kattel & Acharya, 2016) are the primary variables influencing for the decision of farmers. However, no study to date has been noted in Kailali about the adoption decision behavior of farmers on rice seed production.…”
