MSMEs play an important role in the success of community food diversification. Diversification of cassava food into rice substitution is known as analogue rice, in traditional terms it is called "tiwul". The Local Staple Food Development Model (MP3L) in Lampung Province introduced tiwul as a rice analog with the label "beras-siger". This study was conducted to compare and analyze the structure of costs and revenues, as well as the financial viability of Rice-analog that is produced by SMEs. The research location was Margomulyo Village, Jati Agung sub-district, South Lampung Regency as participants in the MP3L program. Non-participating MSMEs were in the production centers of East Lampung, Central Lampung, and Tulang Bawang districts. The business criteria assessment method from the financial aspect is used to determine the condition of financial feasibility. The results showed that the cost structure for participants and non-program participants differed in the value component of production equipment. The participants of the beras-siger business program are not eligible yet. Financial feasibility could reach through fulfilling the production capacity as installed capacity of production equipment. While the non-program participants are financially viable. Non-participant program entrepreneurs are relatively resilient to the changes in input prices and decreases in output prices. Beras-siger SMEs can be a strong basis for rural bio-industry development.

One of the impacts of the replanting program is the cessation of production, which has implications for the loss of farmers' household sources of income. The production cycle in the business of annual crops greatly affects the profit that will be obtained by the farmer. More complicated challenges are faced by perennials than annuals because the time between investment, production, cost, and receipt of farming takes a long time in its implementation. This cross-sectional survey research aims to analyze the problems and socio-economic factors that determine the decision of oil palm farmers to participate in the rejuvenation of oil palm plantations in Jambi Province. This research was carried out in several villages which centered of smallholder oil palm plantations with a sample of 257 oil palm farmers who had old or damaged oil palm plants that had not been replanted or had been replanted. The respondents were selected by using the multistage sampling method. The instrument used is an open-ended questionnaire. The results showed that the farmer's level of readiness, assets, family size, dependency burden, sex ratio, and perception have a significant influence on the farmer's decision to replant oil palm. This article aims to analyze the Indonesian fertilizer industry's market structure, efficiency, and performance determinants. This study applies the Structure-Conduct-Performance (SCP) framework proposed by the Harvard (market power) and UCLA-Chicago School (efficiency structure) schools of thought. We run Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and panel data regression to analyze the panel data constructed from annual reports of fertilizer producers in 2008 – 2017 and statistical publications from the agriculture ministry. DEA is a nonparametric method that measures technical and scale efficiencies. Meanwhile, panel data regression estimates the determinants of firm performance (ROA). The results show that the fertilizer industry has market power based on three characteristics; the number of incumbents (five), degree of market concentration (95.48 percent), and barrier to entry condition. Meanwhile, its industrial technical efficiency score is low (0.584), but its scale efficiency score is high (0.950). The results also show that firm performance is determined by efficiency, not market power. Both technical and scale efficiency positively and significantly affect performance. On the other hand, market power does not significantly affect performance. This finding supports the UCLA-Chicago School that efficiency is the main factor of firm performance.
