Technologies used to Minimize Oncological Pain in Children and Adolescents: A Literature Review

Abstract

Objective: To identify the technologies available for the management of cancer pain in the literature.Method: This is an integrative literature review carried out in the databases SCOPUS, PubMed/MEDLINE, LILACS e CINAHL. Initially, there were 81 articles selected, and the sample consisted of nine articles. The keywords used were child oncologic pain, protocols, Technology and guidelines. The AND or OR Boolean operator was used. The search was conducted in July and August 2017. Results:The articles included in this review aimed at identifying technologies that could be used in children and adolescents with cancer pain. It was found that the technologies used were protocols, guidelines, leaflets, programs, and applications. Conclusion:Technologies are strategies that help promote the relief and control of cancer pain, associated with pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies.
