Technological heredity of operational properties in the processes of manufacturing, operation, and restoration of machine parts is proposed to describe the graph reflecting the coefficients of transmission and mutual influence of physical, mechanical, and geometric parameters. The technological control methods of the heredity of operational properties of parts are considered, including the following: measuring parameters of the most critical parts; determining technological heredity mechanisms on the basis of transfer coefficients and mutual influence of operational properties; analyzing technological barriers during intensive effects of energy flows; and developing measures for controlling technological processes. The technological heredity of the operational quality parameters in the process of recovery and processing of the bearing journals and cams, as well as wearing of the camshaft working surfaces over admissible limits are considered. According to the findings, it is recommended: to control the deformation of the part after machining operations; to eliminate the editing operation after heat treatment; to use a combination of methods and a combination of technological effects in recovering the part surfaces with wear exceeding the maximum permissible values. The need for surfacing and subsequent tempering processes to ensure consistently high physicomechanical properties of coating materials and strictly regulate the modes of surface finishing is noted.

The priority of the quality improving of machine parts, providing their operational characteristics and specified reliability parameters during the design of oil and gas and mechenical engineering equipment was established. The dominance of the criterion of technological inheritability for all stages of the Life Cycle of a Part was noted. The current state of providing of the quality parameters of a part and its operational characteristics by means of the technological inheritabilty was analyzed. Algorithms for technological providing of quality parameters, operational characteristics and reliability indicators of parts are considered. Approaches for estimation of the degree of material degradation, worked-out and anticipated (residual) part lifetime were described. Object, subject and research tasks were installed. The deformation and energy criteria for evaluation of degree of material damageability are presented. The specificity of SADT-technology for the analysis and synthesis of the technological processes is described and the advantages, disadvantages, scope of its application are noted. A systematic approach for the joint using of continuum media mechanics, continuous damage mechanics and fracture mechanics is proposed. During the study of the process of metal plastic molding in a certain focus of deformation the properties of the surface layer are considered as a the result of this molding. And the process of part exploitation are considered as the continuing the change of these properties. That approach allows to use the parameters of the deformation mechanics as the degree of shear deformation  and the degree of exhaustion of the plasticity reserve  for the analysis of physical phenomena. The Life Cycle of a Part is analyzed as an integrated process of exhaustion of the metal plasticity stock under the influence of the specified load programs in according to the technological inheritability of its properties. An advanced structural model of the Life Cycle of a Part by means of the technological inheritability mechanics is offered.

The object of research is the technological route of machining of an aluminum alloy casting. The research carried out is based on the basic principles of functionally oriented design of technological processes in the manufacture of products. The main hypothesis of the study is the need for a systematic approach to study the effect of cutting modes of a certain method of machining on the provision of quality parameters in the technological system (machine – device – tool – workpiece). In traditional automated systems for technological preparation of production, an object-oriented principle of designing technological processes is implemented, which provides for the step-by-step implementation of interrelated stages based on a prototyping algorithm without a functional analysis of the operational characteristics of the product. The processing of functional, mating surfaces, ensuring that the product performs its service purpose, must be implemented according to the principle of function-oriented design (FODT). A characteristic feature of FOT is the technological provision of effective operational characteristics of the product in compliance with the parameters of accuracy and quality of the surface layer of the product intended by the designer. The paper deals with the influence of the structural and geometric parameters of end mills manufactured by Sandvick (Sandviken, Sweden) on the formation of microrelief parameters of an aluminum alloy casting profile during machining on a numerically controlled vertical milling center (CNC) HAAS MINIMILL (USA). An atypical option for the FOT principle of the technological route of machining the surfaces of workpieces of machine-building products has been applied. Its feature is ignoring the requirements of the manufacturer of metal-cutting tools, which is an important element of the technological system (machine – tool – device – workpiece), regarding its use for a particular machine tool at a certain technological transition of machining. The performance criteria were the height and step characteristics of the microrelief of the profile of the surface layer of the workpiece being processed. The operating conditions of machine-building products have been determined, which make it possible to establish, in case of deviation from the manufacturer's recommendations at the stage of technological preparation of production, the rational elements of a certain technological system: a metal-cutting machine – a device – a metal-cutting tool – a workpiece and processing modes to ensure the necessary operational characteristics.
