He has been on the Board of Directors of the Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, and on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Victims of Terrorism, President of the American Association of Suicidology, and a member of the American Psychological Association Task Force on Suicide Among Youth.Dr. Frederick's work has focused on emergency mental treatment and research in psychic trauma, suicide and self-destructive behavior, and cross-cultural stressors.
