“…These enzymes are also important in examining the health status of fish. Thus, decreased activity of this enzyme is a reason for proper liver function and suitable nutritional conditions [20]. In our present study, the result indicated that the highest level of liver enzyme AST was observed in the Fig.…”

“…The samples were then centrifuged in a microtube at 2500 rpm (4°C) for 15 min. After centrifugation, the soluble supernatant was used to measure the enzymes: aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkannin phosphatase (ALP) [20].…”

“…The correlation and PCA analysis have also indicated that tebuconazole presence may reduce longevity and egg viability in C. elegans. This fungicide toxicity in reproduction has already been reported in different animal models (Guimaraes et al 2018;Li et al 2020;Machado-Neves et al 2018;Fig. 5 Correlation analysis of all data, independent on samples collected pre-or post-pesticide application Fig.…”

“…Tebuconazole is a fungicide that has been frequently detected in agriculture systems at concentrations that affect endocrine function in organisms. For instance, it has been found to cause oxidative stress and endocrine disruption in rats (Yang et al 2018) and developmental toxicity associated to thyroid dysfunction in zebrafish (Li et al 2020). Finally, imazethapyr has also been reported by causing metabolic alterations in Cyprinus carpio (Moraes et al 2011), genotoxicity in tadpoles of Rhinella arenarum and Hypsiboas pulchellus species (Carvalho et al 2019;Perez-Iglesias et al 2017;Perez-Iglesias et al 2015), and also in mammalian cells (Soloneski et al 2017); however, the toxicity of herbicide is poorly characterized and needs to be further investigated.…”

“…[39] GSH levels expressed as chromatographic peak areas of the GSH-NEM conjugate significantly decreased in TEB group and increased in CELE9 treated groups in a dose-dependent manner (Figure 6D). Recent studies have suggested that TEB induces oxidative stress in the livers of fish [38,40] and mammals, [41] leading to the production of free radicals. Our data revealed that CELE9 had protective effects against TEB-induced liver injury, which could be attributed to the in vivo antioxidant and glutathione-repleting activity of CELE9.…”
