The aim of this work is to make known the possible applicability and usefulness of new technologies such as virtual reality and haptic devices to improve the education of children of pre-school age. The aim is not only to integrate these new technologies into pre-school education but also to evaluate the improvements that this would introduce, for which a system has been designed that includes a computer and a haptic device whose shape resembles a pencil and its use is very similar to a mouse. Several virtual interfaces have been designed in which different environments are presented where the child must perform tasks designated by the teacher; the child interacts with these interfaces with the help of the haptic device that also has the ability to feedback forces that will prevent the child from performing the task incorrectly. The interfaces are designed as games to please the child, for this 3D software is used, the haptic device is a Geomagic Touch and the tasks are structures by the teacher, according to the age and skill that is intended to improve in the child. The proposals and results of two previous works carried out by the authors are presented.

En los últimos años con el auge de las herramientas tecnológicas, el mundo virtual y la Educación 4.0 han ocupado lugares importantes como recursos para realizar procesos y actividades en distintos ámbitos, logrando resultados relevantes para el desarrollo profesional de los individuos. Esta investigación intenta indagar el mundo virtual y la Educación 4.0, sus definiciones, características y aportes que han hecho a las personas para que desarrollen estrategias que les permitan enfrentar las exigencias sociales, además, conocer si hay investigaciones que muestren los avances logrados con estas nuevas maneras de enseñar y de aprender. Estos recursos tecnológicos permiten que los estudiantes comprendan y exploren teniendo contacto directo con la información desde la web, interactúen y hagan colaboraciones con los demás usuarios. Por ello, es que estos nuevos escenarios facilitan el desarrollo de habilidades, destrezas y competencias, dándole a los estudiantes la oportunidad de participar en su propio aprendizaje. El mundo virtual y la Educación 4.0 ofrecen un espacio de entrenamiento, vida social, con un ambiente que conlleva a la innovación, creatividad, desarrollo de las experiencias de enseñanza de manera interactiva y una visión empresarial. Por lo tanto, es importante hacer los ajustes para que los planes de estudios tengan los cambios necesarios y la implementación de estos nuevos modelos de aprendizaje.
