Teaching African Dances in the Caribbean: Horizontal Interpenetration and Afrocentricity in Jamaica

Abstract: This article examines how pedagogy of African dances can act as a site where issues of Afrocentricity and horizontal interconnection can be activated, negotiated, and embodied.
