“…This promotion scheme is a very significant concern because this is the system by which the members of the profession would find their passage to desired wage, status, prestige, and power. And in a profession, such as teaching, promotion to higher ranks requires dedication of time and effort (Wong, 2009). To guide such assent to the promotional hierarchy, the Department of Education have issued policies and guidelines that would ensure equal chances of every member of the profession to the said opportunities, regardless of their sexes.…”
