“…This led to the creation of the Italian Association of Marconi Therapy (a section of the Italian Society of Medical Radiology), of which Marconi was appointed Honorary President (Figure 2). 1 Subsequently, an Italian Treatise on Marconi Therapy, edited by the Genoese School, and a Journal of Marconi Therapy were published and the 1 st International Congress of Short Waves was held in Vienna, during which the Italian term “marconiterapia” was officially recognized; on that occasion, the two speeches made by the Genoese School were delivered by Professors Maragliano and Vallebona. - It was again Maragliano who had the idea of stratigraphy, which was later further developed and improved by Alessandro Vallebona (1899–1967). - Maragliano also displayed great insight in the field of cosmic radiation, as he illustrated in 1920 at the Congress of Radiology in Rome. He examined the question of the “N-rays” discovered in 1903 by the physicist Blondlot, who believed that he had discovered special rays emitted by various light sources with special properties.…”
