“…In Figure b, the transmittance spectra of PS-based LROCs are presented. As a result of formation of a PC, the transmittance shows a wave feature in the spectra which is attributed to light coupling into periodic structure of the nanoarray . After PS plasma etching process, the size of PS is reduced and the distance between the PS colloids is increased, thus forming a nonclosely packed LROC template and resulting in a different type of transmittance wave profile.…”

“…A laser driver module integrated with a temperature controller was used to drive the ICL for a stable emitting wavelength range, with the driving signal generated by a signal generator contained in a field programmable gate array (FPGA)-based lock-in module. Here, a sawtooth signal superimposed by a high-frequency sinusoidal modulating signal was set as the driving signal to perform wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) detection. The lock-in amplifier, which was another part of the lock-in module, was used to extract the second harmonic (2 f ) absorption spectrum from the MCT detector’s output and simultaneously generate a square-wave signal for trigging a synchronous 2 f spectrum acquisition. The core processor was a self-designed SCC unit based on a DSP (Texas Instruments, model TMS320F28335).…”

“…PBG HCF-based gas sensing has mainly been performed in the spectral region between 1530 and 1700 nm (HC-1550-02 fiber from NKT Photonics, shown in Figure 8, is by far the most popular choice, and has been used in multiple papers presenting HCF-based gas sensing [40][41][42][43][45][46][47][48][49][50]). However, as mentioned in the introduction, the mid-infrared spectral region offers stronger molecular transitions.…”
