Abstract: Vibriosis, a disease caused by Vibrio spp., including V. harveyi, contributes to enormous economic loss to the shrimp aquaculture industry. With the worsening incidences of antimicrobial resistance in aquaculture, novel strategies for combating this bacterial infection are urgently needed.
