“…[111] Based on their effects on tumor microenvironments and metastasis, recent research has examined the feasibility of using aptamer-guided nanocarriers to transport genetic tools that can silence lncRNAs in cancer stem cells. [112] Bi, Zhuofei, et al examined utilizing NPs to deliver siRNA to suppress AFAP1-AS1 in TNBC cells. Encapsulating siRNA with aptamers, which attach to TNBC cell receptors, may improve delivery and therapeutic effectiveness for AFAP1-AS1 silencing.…”

“…Chimeric aptamers have also been used to deliver RNAi to lncRNA molecules in vitro via recognition of and interaction with lncRNA regulatory proteins [ 101 ]; however, it appears that the chimeric aptamer approach for lncRNA targeting has not yet been implemented in vivo in the CNS. While design of such aptamers must be carefully planned to ensure correct folding and avoidance of structural perturbations to the lncRNA target upon binding, it will be interesting to monitor the progress of these tools in neurodevelopmental studies, given that the small size (<25 kDa), relatively low production cost, reduced immunogenicity and toxicity, and stability over a variety of pHs [ 102 ] make aptamers a good option for nanoparticle-mediated delivery across the BBB. Indeed, aptamer-drug nanoparticle conjugates, which have gained ground in targeted cancer therapeutics [ 103 ], could pose exciting new options for neurodevelopmental disease therapies.…”

“…The chemicals and toxins from these wastes pose risks to both wildlife and human populations. Furthermore, micro-and nano-sized waste particles can contaminate the environment, leading to chronic non-communicable diseases like cancer (Zaiki & Wong, 2021). Governance-related shortcomings and inadequacies in waste collection programs, both formal and informal, have negatively impacted numerous efforts, including recycling initiatives, affecting the community and the environment (Gutberlet, 2017).…”
