Targeted Therapies for Alzheimer's Disease: An Overview

Abstract: Dementia is the most common onset of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The main neuropathological characteristics of AD are extracellular amyloid plaques and intracellular accumulation of hyperphosphorylated Tau protein. Because of the complexity of the pathogenesis, the most treatment options are not effective at present.
