“…19 Geometry optimization in the gas phase for the DGEBA-polyaminoamide was completely optimized at B3LYP/6-31 g (d, p) level of the theory. [20][21][22][23] Our frequency calculation showed there was not any imaginary frequency with N Imag = 0, which confirms that the optimized structure presupposed for the compound corresponds to the minimum energy.…”

“…In the last few years, DFT has appeared as an effective computation tool for describing the interactions between metal surface and coating. 21,[37][38][39] The optimized structure, frontier molecule orbital density distributions (HOMO and LUMO), and electrostatic potential (ESP)of the DGEBA-polyaminoamide are shown in Figure 4.The related quantum chemical parameters are summarized in Table II. Figure 4 presents the optimized DGEBA-polyaminoamide structure and the plots of HOMO, LUMO as well as ESP.…”

“…Consequently, the adsorbed compounds act by unpretentious blocking of active sites for both cathodic and anodic reactions . The E PDP depends on different factors such as adsorption center, interaction mode, size and structure . E PDP increases with the compound doses.…”

“…Organic compounds containing Schiff base groups >C=N―, S, P, O, N and aromatic rings are reported in literature as most efficient corrosion inhibitors for the metals and alloys in acidic solutions . The chelates of Schiff bases form stable complexes neatly packed in the coordination metal ion sphere to generate another category of compounds for corrosion inhibition …”

“…Among many works on the Schiff base complexes, recently various researches on the cadmium Schiff base complexes and their applications have been reported. Cadmium complexes have shown various properties such as luminescent potential, antimicrobial activity, anticancer, urease inhibitory activity, corrosion inhibitory effect, photocatalytic activity and etc. Accordingly synthesis of new cadmium Schiff base containing new ligand with different structure may be in demand yet.…”
