Abstract:The platy limestone deposit of Vallecillo in northeastern Mexico is dated to the early-middle Turonian (Late Cretaceous) and known to contain a variety of well-preserved vertebrate fossils. One of the most common fish species is the teleost Tselfatia formosa.
