Tales of reconstruction. Intertwining Germanic neo-Paganism and Old Norse scholarship

Abstract: Historians of religion and adherents of new religious movements in the twentieth century have frequently had intersecting agendas. This article discusses the interactions between scholarship on Germanic myth and culture and the protagonists and belief systems of Germanic neo-Pagan movements (Asatru).
