Taking HDR Cinema Mainstream

Abstract

In part one of this series ("Advances in HDR Display Technology for Cinema Applications, Including Light-Steering Projection," May/June 2019), we introduced light-steering technology and examined how its image-formation model intrinsically differs from traditional approaches. (Light-steering projectors modulate light by steering it rather than blocking it-light that is traditionally blocked in the Information Display 5/19 9 frontline technology
