Taking advantage of acoustic inhomogeneities in photoacoustic measurements

Abstract: This paper proposes a method for improving the localization and the quantification of the optical parameters in photoacoustic (PA) tomography of biological tissues that are intrinsically heterogeneous in both optical and acoustic properties.
