Background: The prevalence of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in people with Mild Intellectual Disability and Borderline Intellectual Functioning (MID-BIF) is high and evidence-based treatment programs are scarce. The present study describes the development of a personalised SUD treatment for people with MID-BIF. Method: The personalised SUD treatment is developed according to the steps of the Intervention Mapping approach, based on literature review, theoretical intervention methods, clinical experience and consultation with experts in the field of addiction and intellectual disability care. Results: We developed a treatment manual called Take it Personal!+. Take it Personal!+ aims to reduce substance use, is based on motivational interviewing and cognitive behavior therapy and personalised based on the client's personality profile. Furthermore, an mHealth application supports the treatment sessions. Conclusion: Take it Personal!+ is the first personalised SUD treatment for individuals with MID-BIF. Future research should test the effectiveness of Take it Personal!+ in reducing SU.

Idiographic networks are becoming increasingly popular for modeling individual differences. This study evaluates the degree to which idiographic network analyses grasp the theorized dynamism and complexity of personality. Inpatients with a mild intellectual disability and behavioral problems (N = 26; Mage=23) completed 60 daily personality-related self-reports. Idiographic network analyses revealed high between-person heterogeneity in network structures at the group- and subgroup-level. Autocorrelation functions evidenced interactions across multiple timescales at the n=1 level. When repeatedly estimating idiographic networks in a sliding 30-day window, the structures continuously changed throughout the 60-day timeline. Non-stationarity and interactions across multiple timescales imply that idiographic networks are static aggregates that conceal richer dynamics and complexity. Implications for the network theory of individual differences are discussed.

Zusammenfassung Hintergrund Durch die fortschreitende Inklusion und die Möglichkeiten stärkerer Teilhabe von Menschen mit (geistiger) Behinderung kommt dieser Personenkreis zunehmend auch in Kontakt mit Suchtmitteln. Dabei ist das Risiko, eine Abhängigkeit bzw. Sucht zu entwickeln, ähnlich hoch wie bei Menschen ohne Behinderung, allerdings bestehen noch immer Ungleichheiten im Zugang zu geeigneten Angeboten der Suchthilfe und -prävention. Ziel des Beitrags ist daher 1) den Kenntnisstand sowie das Angebot zielgruppenspezifischer Programme und Maßnahmen der Suchthilfe und -prävention zu erfassen, 2) die Vernetzung zwischen Sucht- und Behindertenhilfe zu erfassen, 3) den Zusammenhang zwischen der Vernetzung und den zielgruppenspezifischen Angeboten der Suchthilfe und -prävention zu analysieren und 4) den Unterstützungsbedarf von Fachkräften des Suchthilfesystems zu ermitteln, um die Teilhabechancen von Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung an den Suchthilfestrukturen zukünftig zu verbessern. Material und Methoden Datenbasis stellt eine Primärerhebung (online) bei Fachkräften des Suchthilfesystems in Deutschland dar. Der Feldzugang erfolgte per E‑Mail über insgesamt 1677 Einrichtungen. An der Befragung nahmen n = 533 Fachkräfte teil. Die Daten wurden mittels uni- und bivariater Analysen ausgewertet. Ergebnisse Insgesamt gaben 62 % der befragten Fachkräfte an, keine suchtspezifischen Angebote für Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung zu kennen, 87 % bieten keine Angebote für diese Zielgruppe an. Gut die Hälfte der Befragten (52 %) arbeitet mit Einrichtungen der Behindertenhilfe zusammen. Die bivariaten Auswertungen verdeutlichen, dass mit der Behindertenhilfe vernetzte Einrichtungen häufiger suchtspezifische Angebote für Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung bereitstellen als nicht vernetzte Einrichtungen. Großer bis sehr großer Unterstützungsbedarf für Fachkräfte des Suchthilfesystems besteht in Bezug auf Weiterbildungsangebote, Handlungsempfehlungen, Leitfäden und Arbeitshilfen, um eine zielgruppenadäquate Beratung, Behandlung und Prävention anbieten zu können. Schlussfolgerung Um den Zugang für Menschen mit geistiger Behinderung zu Angeboten der Suchthilfe und -prävention zu verbessern, sollten entsprechende Angebote (weiter-)entwickelt werden und in der Suchthilfe Anwendung finden. Wichtige Voraussetzungen hierfür sind die stärkere Vernetzung zwischen Sucht- und Behindertenhilfe, eine wirksame Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Qualifizierungsangebote und Informationen.
