Taiwan Model to COVID-19 Response

Abstract: This paper discusses the key elements of Taiwan’s approach in mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Extensive public health infrastructure established in the country pre-COVID-19 enabled a rapid and coordinated response which included meticulous border control measures, distribution of medical resources, effective quarantine and isolation methods, digital technologies, and mass mask use.
