“…The selection of a suitable flux is vital for the obtainment of high-quality crystals. Because of the conveniently low melting point and the superior ability to dissolve oxides, TeO 2 as a flux has been widely utilized to grow single crystals of a large variety of oxides containing tellurium element. In addition, a special effect of Li + cations substantially enlarges the dimensions of grown crystals . Therefore, we have sought to combine TeO 2 and Li 2 CO 3 to serve as flux.…”

“…The inorganic optical materials, including borates, 1−3 phosphates, 4−6 iodates, 7−9 and tellurites, 10,11 have received unprecedented attention since the advent of laser technology. Phosphates, as an evergreen in the field, have been employed on optical components as early as the 1960s.…”

“…[31]. In the first series of glass system Ge 10 As 90−x Te x , ρ increased from 5.212 to 5.523 g/cm 3 with increased Te content from 30 to 70 mol% as shown in Table 3, whereas E decreased from 20.93 to 19.15 GPa, G decreased from 8.288 to 7.509 GPa and υ increased from 0.263 to 0.275, respectively. Although these performances changed little, the elastic deformation of the glasses under stress still occurred and the cross-linking densities inside the glasses therefore decreased, 32 which indirectly led to the generation of ultrasonic loss in the glasses as discussed below.…”

In the Ge 10 As 20 Te 70−y Se y system, ρ gradually decreased from 5.327 to 4.867 g/cm 3 when Se content increased from 20 mol% to 50 mol%. Obviously, Ge−As−Te−Se glass has better rigidity and smaller elastic deformation compared to the first series.…”
