“…One of the most widely used conformity assessment procedures is certification, and the concept of certification is very closely linked to the concept of conformity assessment which includes the evaluation of a particular subject, determining whether it meets the necessary requirements [19,20]. Due to the fact that the need for sustainability and open innovation is getting bigger worldwide [4,5,[21][22][23][24], understanding the process of certification of persons and its related issues leads to a socially responsible and sustainable process [25] that does not end with obtaining the certificate, but continues by putting forward a certified person's professional competence development. In order to assess ways of improving competence assessment procedures for certification of persons in the future, especially in the field of construction where there are potential risks to human health and life, it is necessary to study and analyze the theoretical aspects of certification.…”

“…Chau et al (2017) sought to justify the low performance of the United Kingdom against the knowledge and technology transfer of organizations. Dubickis and Gaile-Sarkane (2017) reviewed the literature for the tacit dichotomy against explicit knowledge. Frishammar et al (2015), in turn, found out that the process of knowledge leak is multidimensional, pointing out that the essential knowledge must be protected from possible leaks.…”

“…On the one hand, the scientific literature encompasses several studies regarding this theme, such as Battaglia et al (2017) in an exploratory analysis of organizations structures from knowledge transfer. Dubickis and Gaile-Sarkane (2017) revised the literature for technology transfer and the tacit-explicit dichotomy; Van Der Heiden et al (2016) developed a model based on the absorptive capacity needs; Cavalheiro and Joia (2014) linked the challenges in technology transfer processes and the adaption to government electronic applications of a donor country to a receiving country from a knowledge management perspective.…”
