T1 Carbon Transmitter Model for Use in Computer-Aided Analysis of Telephone Set Transmission Characteristics

Abstract: A carbon transmitter model is presented, the purpose of which is to serve as a tool for computer‐aided analysis of telephone set transmission characteristics. The derivation of the model is based upon the physical theory of the device. The parameters in the model are evaluated by comparing the analytically derived expressions for the device characteristics to the measured characteristics of a typical device.
