Abstract:Background:
We recently described the T cell antigen coupler (TAC) technology (Helsen et. al. Nature Communications) which is a chimeric receptor that targets antigens in an MHC-independent fashion and activates T cells by co-opting the natural TCR receptor. In vitro and in vivo assessments of TAC T cells in solid tumor models have revealed that TACs mediate biological effects that are distinct from conventional chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) and offer safety advantages, including greater tar… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
