Viruses invade susceptible cells through a complex mechanism before injecting their genetic material into them. This causes direct damage to the host cell, as well as resulting in disease in the corresponding system. Echovirus type 30 (E30) is a member of the Enterovirus B group and has recently been reported to cause central nervous system (CNS) disorders, leading to viral encephalitis and viral meningitis in children. In this review, we aim to help in improving the understanding of the mechanisms of CNS diseases caused by E30 for the subsequent development of relevant drugs and vaccines.

O presente artigo teve como objetivo verificar as principais manifestações clínicas dos pacientes, evidenciar os exames necessários, bem como o tratamento adequado e elencar os diagnósticos diferenciais. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, onde foi incluído estudos publicados entre 2017-2021, através das bases de dados Scopus e Pubmed. Utilizaram-se os descritores: “Meningite Asséptica”, “Lúpus Eritematoso Sistêmico”, “Sintomas”, “Diagnóstico” e “Tratamento”. Após os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 10 estudos foram selecionados para compor o presente estudo. Verificou-se que esta pesquisa respondeu aos objetivos estabelecidos, onde foi possível identificar as principias manifestações clínicas, exames, tratamento e diagnósticos diferenciais. Percebe-se, através dos achados acadêmicos, que as causas mais frequentes de meningite asséptica são doenças inflamatórias sistêmicas, drogas e câncer. A etiologia da SLE é desconhecida, no entanto, acredita-se que as evidências implicam fatores genéticos, hormonais e ambientais. Percebe-se que a predominância é em pacientes do sexo feminina, início de doença antes dos 40 anos, com histórico individual ou familiar de doenças autoimunes. As principais características clinicas são: Depressão neuropsiquiátrica, psicose, convulsões, doenças renais e lesões cutâneas. No que se refere o diagnóstico, é efetivado por meio do exame completo de líquido cefalorraquidiano.

Alzheimer's is characterized by the formation of senile plaques and fibril tangles. Several methodologies have been employed to treat the disease. Albeit engineered medications are accessible for the treatment of Alzheimer's, due to their numerous side effects, it becomes imperative to formulate and synthesize novel drug candidates. Plants could be utilized as an alternative for these manufactured medications because of their low incidental effects in contrast with the engineered drugs. Bacopa monneiri (BM) is a therapeutic plant that is accounted for to be utilized to treat NDs. Therefore, in the current study, an in-silico approach was carried out to evaluate the pharmacological effect of BM. Molecular Docking was carried out to screen the active phytochemicals of BM which can act as potential drug candidates against amyloid-β plaques. A total of 8 biologically active phytochemicals from BM were docked against the p75NTR receptor. Based on a molecular docking study it was observed that the phytocompounds Bacopasaponin D and Bacopasaponin G of BM significantly fit the active site of p75NTR. Further Molecular Dynamics simulation study was performed to examine the stability of the binding of these phytochemicals with the selected targets. Our findings suggested that the phytocompounds Bacopasaponin D and Bacopasaponin G significantly bind with p75NTR and thus might have the potential to inhibit the natural binding activity of amyloid-b plaques and act as a potential anti-neurodegenerative drug.
